Newport hops grown organically in Ontario.

Newport is a high alpha acid hop variety with a slightly spicy and resinous taste. It is used primarily for its bittering power and was developed by the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in Corvallis, Oregon, in 1996, then commercialized in 2002.

Its bitter/aroma/flavor profile is much more balanced than Magnum or Galena. It is more similar to Nugget, but with a more developed resinous touch.
