Java Vanilla Extract - Colibri Vanille

Java vanilla extract is made from whole vanilla planifolia pods from the Yasmeriai Sastradi farm on the island of Java, Indonesia. The vanilla grown there has distinctive aromas of nutmeg and licorice, accompanied by sweet and fruity notes reminiscent of raisins.

Java vanilla exhibits such distinct flavors that a type of vanilla now bears its name, despite not being a crossbreed. Cultivating and processing vanilla pods is an art and rare are those who manage to reach such a level of quality.
