Rahr's Pale Malt Standard 2-Row is a light colored base malt, made from a blend of North American 2-row barley varieties. It is darker than most pilsner malts, but paler than most pale malts. It has moderate protein levels and good extraction yield. Its neutral profile makes it extremely versatile and it is widely used by craft brewers as the base malt for any style of beer.
